Eurydice - UIL OAP

Stage Manager - Publicity

Elkins High School - March 2024

As a proud Texan, I am very grateful to have been able to compete for the second time in the 2024 UIL One Act Play. For this retelling of a classic story, Eurydice, we chose to go with a very tiki mid-century modern day at the beach.

Bellow are some of my work samples from my Stage Manager Prompt Book

12 Consecutive Pages of Blocking - Eurydice Script

With UIL’s strict rules of a show running no longer than 45 minutes, we must cut our scripts into one act, submit to the UIL OAP Officials for approval, then as we rehearse, we often cut more lines or even whole scenes because every word is a second spent. A script can even change between performances which is why it is important to keep track of these changes during the production process.
